The Dog House Multihold key art

Pragmatic Play slot

Four Kennels One Stake

The third Dog House game keeps the 5x3 reels and the 2x or 3x wilds, then changes the free spins completely: you can end up spinning four grids at once, with the sticky wilds from one copied onto the next.

The Dog House Multihold is a 20-payline, 5x3 slot where the money is in the wilds. They only appear on reels 2, 3 and 4, and every one carries a 2x or 3x multiplier. When two wilds sit in the same winning line their values add together, so a 3x and a 2x turn a R10 line win into R50. The base game pays often, about one spin in four, but most of those wins are small, and the 9,000x top prize sits a long way out at roughly one in five million spins.

The free spins are what set this version apart from the original Dog House and the Megaways one. Three paw scatters on reels 1, 3 and 5 give you 7 spins on a single grid. Any wild that lands during the round becomes sticky and stays in place. Collect three more bonus symbols and a second grid unlocks next to the first, you get 1 to 3 extra spins, and every sticky wild on the first grid is copied onto the new one.

That copying rule is the whole point. Up to four grids can open, and each one starts with every sticky wild the previous grid had collected, then adds its own. All four grids spin together on the one stake, so a R2 spin is still R2 even when four boards are paying. The best rounds end with multiplier wilds stacked across four grids and every line win counted four times over. The worst rounds stay on one grid and finish in seven spins.

Scorebet carries the game in its Pragmatic Play lobby, and a bonus buy at 100x the stake is offered where the regulator allows it, which goes straight into the single-grid start of the feature. The buy does not help you unlock the other grids, that still needs scatters. The RTP of 96.06% is the standard setting and operators can run it lower, so check the paytable inside the game before you stake.

What the features do

  • Multiplier wilds: every wild on reels 2, 3 and 4 carries a 2x or 3x, and two wilds in the same win add their values together
  • Multihold free spins: the round starts on one 5x3 grid and can unlock up to four grids that all spin from the same stake
  • Grid unlock: collecting three more bonus symbols during the feature opens the next grid and adds 1 to 3 free spins
  • Sticky wilds: a wild that lands on the active grid stays put for the rest of the round
  • Wild copy: when a new grid unlocks, the sticky wilds already on the last grid are copied onto it
  • Bonus buy: pay 100x the stake to start the free spins directly where it is offered

Before you spin

  1. The free spins land about once every 175 spins. At R2 a spin that is roughly R350 of base game between features, so size the budget for a dry run.
  2. A bought bonus at R200 (100x on a R2 stake) starts you on one grid. If no extra bonus symbols come, it is 7 spins and done.
  3. Wilds only live on the middle three reels, so a line needs matching symbols on reels 1 and 5 for a multiplier wild to pay out.
  4. Count the sticky wilds, not the grids. Four grids with no wilds pay the same as one grid with no wilds.

The Dog House Multihold questions

What is the RTP of The Dog House Multihold?

The standard setting is 96.06%. Pragmatic Play also supplies 95.14% and 94.06% versions, so the figure can differ by operator. It is a long-run average and says nothing about a single session.

What is the max win on The Dog House Multihold?

9,000 times the stake. On a R2 spin that is R18,000. Review data puts the chance of hitting it at about one in 5.3 million spins.

How do the four grids work?

The free spins start on one 5x3 grid. Every three bonus symbols collected during the round unlock another grid, up to four, and award 1 to 3 extra spins. The sticky wilds from the last grid are copied onto the new one, and all grids spin from the same stake.

Does The Dog House Multihold have a bonus buy?

Yes, where it is offered. It costs 100x the stake and starts the free spins on the first grid. You still need bonus symbols during the round to unlock the other three grids.

Can I play The Dog House Multihold in South Africa?
