Great Rhino is a classic 5x3 slot with 20 fixed paylines and a medium volatility profile, which makes it one of the gentler Pragmatic Play titles. Wins pay left to right, the rhino is the top symbol, and the leopard, gorilla, crocodile and flamingo fill out the pay table beneath it. There are no tumbles and no multipliers. The money comes from two places: the free spins and the Super Respin.

Three scatters on reels 2, 3 and 4 at the same time give ten free spins. The twist is that every rhino symbol becomes a wild for the round, on top of being the highest payer. A stacked rhino reel in the bonus substitutes for everything on that reel across all 20 lines. The scatter is switched off during the free spins, so there is no retrigger: ten spins is ten spins, and the round is over when they are done.

The Super Respin is the feature that pays the big numbers. Land two or more reels completely filled with rhinos in the base game and you get three respins where only the rhinos stay and the rest of the board spins again. Every new rhino locks in and resets the counter to three. Fourteen rhinos on screen pay the Major jackpot at 375x the stake, fifteen pay the Grand at 500x. At R2 a spin the Grand is R1,000.

The maximum win on the standard version is 900x the stake, which is low next to the 5,000x and 20,000x Megaways titles, and that is the point of the game: pays come more often and the swings are smaller. The RTP is 96.53%. Scorebet carries the Pragmatic Play catalogue, and this one has no ante bet and no bonus buy, so the only route to the features is to spin for them.

What the features do

Rhino wilds in the bonus: during the free spins every rhino symbol acts as a wild on top of being the top paying symbol
Super Respin: two or more reels fully stacked with rhinos in the base game give 3 respins where only rhinos stay and anything else is replaced
Respin reset: each new rhino that lands during the Super Respin locks in place and resets the counter to 3
Fixed jackpots: 14 rhinos on screen pay the Major at 375x the stake, 15 rhinos pay the Grand at 500x
No retrigger: the scatters are switched off during the free spins, so the round is exactly 10 spins

Before you spin

The Super Respin needs two full reels of rhinos at once, not one. A single stacked rhino reel is a nice line win and nothing more.
In the free spins the rhino is both top symbol and wild, so a full rhino reel pays every line through it. Watch reel 3, which sits on the most lines.
There is no retrigger. Budget the free spins as a fixed ten and do not wait on a scatter that cannot land.
Medium volatility means R2 a spin goes further here than on a Megaways rhino. It is the better game for a long session on a small bankroll.

Great Rhino questions

What is the RTP of Great Rhino?

96.53% on the standard version. Some operators run a 95.48% build, so check the info screen in the game.

What is the maximum win on Great Rhino?

900 times the stake, which is modest by design. The fixed jackpots inside the Super Respin pay 375x for 14 rhinos and 500x for 15.

How does the Super Respin work?

Two or more reels fully stacked with rhinos in the base game start three respins. Only the rhinos stay, everything else respins, and each new rhino locks in and resets the count to three. It ends when three respins pass with no new rhino or the screen fills.

Can the free spins be retriggered?

No. The scatter symbol is removed during the ten free spins, so the round is always exactly ten. What changes inside it is that every rhino acts as a wild.

Can I play Great Rhino in South Africa?

Yes. Scorebet is licensed by the Northern Cape Gambling Board and carries the Pragmatic Play catalogue, Great Rhino included. 18 and over, registered players only.
