T&C’s FOR OUR BLACK FRIDAY COMPETITION

Terms and Conditions

1.       Eligibility:

• You will need a Verified FICA compliant account with ScoreBet (ScoreBet has the right to ask for documentation to prove eligibility).
• The competition is open to individuals aged 18 years and above.

2.       Exclusion:

•  Directors, Shareholders, partners, employees, agents of, or consultants and/or its subsidiaries including any promoter if appointed, their promotional partners and printers, their advertising and promotional agencies, suppliers of goods or services in connection with this competition or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by the promoter or its subsidiary and managed companies and/or the promoter or marketing service providers in respect of this competition, or any of the aforementioned persons’ immediate family, including spouses, life partners, parents, children and siblings, business partners, or associates of a director, employee or agent of, a consultant to the promoter are not eligible to participate or enter this competition.

3.       Competition Period:

• The competition will run from 24 November 2023 at 00:00 up to 26 November 2023 at 23:59.
• Any bets placed with the company beyond this period, will not qualify for entry into the competition.

4.       Entry Requirements:

• This competition is exclusively for the online betting platform (www.scorebet.co.za) and excludes all the ScoreBet retail shops.
•  To qualify for entry into this competition participants must place a minimum bet of R20 or more on any event, or game on ScoreBets’ website. This must take place in the competition set-out times (24 November 2023 at 00:00 up to 26 November 2023 at 23:59).

• Try your luck on any betting events or games like Slot Games, Sports Betting, Roulette, Lucky Numbers, Aviator, Winners’ Wheel, Racing, Keno, Betgames and more (www.scorebet.co.za).
• Multiple entries are allowed. You can enter as many times as you'd like; the greater the number of bets you make, the better your chances of winning.
• Bets must be placed exclusively through ScoreBet’s official website – www.scorebet.co.za

5.       Entry Fee:

• There is no entry fee to participate in the competition.

6.       Winners:

• There will be 5 prizes awarded to 5 separate winners.
• A winner cannot win more than one prize.
• Participants must enter themselves when placing their bets.

• All 5 winners will be announced on the following Monday (27^th of November 2023) at 14:00 (South African standard time)  through our official communication channels on ScoreBet’s social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn etc). Winners will be contacted directly through the contact details provided during the betting process (www.scorebet.co.za). – Please note, the participant is responsible for accuracy of contact details provided in the betting process.

7.       How will the winners be chosen:

• The 5 winners will be chosen at random by lucky draw to be held the day after competition end date (Monday, 27^th of November 2023).

8.       Forfeit:

A winner(s) will forfeit his/her prize in the following situations:

• If they have already won a prize in this competition;
• If they are found to have breached any of the competition rules stated herein;
• If they fail to accept delivery of the prize after two delivery attempts by ScoreBet;
• If it is unlawful for winner to receive the prize; and
• In case of a forfeit, the ScoreBet reserves the right to select another winner from the remaining participants.

9.       Prizes:

• There are 5 prizes up for grabs.
• Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or an alternative.
• Winners will be contacted directly through the contact details provided during entry (www.scorebet.co.za).
• In the event that the winner(s) cannot be contacted within 7 days or is unable to accept the prize, the prize will be forfeited.
• If the prize is unavailable or out of stock, a substitute prize of equal worth may be allocated to the winner.
• The prizes will be sent via courier at ScoreBet’s cost.
• Prize fulfilment will take place within 8 weeks of the winner’s confirmation.
• ScoreBet is not responsible for any warranties, maintenance, services, or any other potential liability pertaining to the prizes. Thus this warranty period is forfeited on receiving the prize.
• ScoreBet does not make any representations or give any warranties, whether expressly or implicitly, as to a prize, and in particular, but without limitation, make no representations and give no warranty that

o   the entry or participation in the competition will necessarily result in you winning a prize;

o   a prize, or any aspect thereof, will meet your requirements, preferences, standards, or expectations; or

o   a prize, or any aspect thereof, will be satisfactory, punctual, free from defects, safe or reliable.

•  Upon entering, participating, and/or accepting any prize, entrants, participants, users, and/or winners hereby release, indemnify, and absolve ScoreBet (including its subsidiaries, associate companies, and affiliates), along with its directors, employees, agents, suppliers, and contractors, from any actions, claims, and/or liability arising from injury, loss, damage, expense, claim, and/or damages of any nature, whether in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, resulting from participation in the competition, and/or the use, acceptance, or possession of a prize, and/or engagement (or non-engagement) in a prize-related activity.
•  ScoreBet will not be responsible for any harm, damage, loss, or claim relating to the provision of any element of a prize or any changes to a prize that may be made at any time.
•  You must possess whatever documents and permissions that may be required to accept and use a prize.
•   ScoreBet may require you to provide it with such additional information and documentation as it may reasonably require to process, confirm and facilitate your acceptance and/or use of a prize. If you refuse to provide us with the requested information or documentation, you will forfeit the prize.

Prizes up for grabs:

Prize 1: Grocery Voucher valued at R1 000.00 (one thousand rand only)

• The prize consists of an R1 000.00 OTT-voucher for groceries at a Shoprite or Checkers located nearest to the winner within the territory of South Africa.
• After the announcement of the winners, the winner must provide the name and address of the nearest Shoprite or Checkers for voucher allocation.
• A OTT- voucher for the specified location will be allocated to the winner and a digital code will be digitally sent.
• The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or an alternative prize.
• The winner will be selected through a random drawing from all eligible entries.
• To claim the prize, the winner may be required to provide additional information for verification purposes.
• OTT- vouchers terms and conditions apply.

Prize 2: R1 500.00 (one thousand five hundred rand only) ScoreBet Betting Voucher

• The prize consists of a betting voucher for ScoreBet (www.scorebet.co.za), up to the value of R1500.00.
• The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or an alternative prize.

• The winners needs to provide their name, surname, and ID number to claim the prize.
• ScoreBet's terms and conditions apply.

Prize 3: TV

• The prize consists of a TV of  ScoreBet’s choice.
• No colour selection may be made by the winner and the tv will be delivered as per what is available at the time.
• ScoreBet will not insure the TV.
• The winners must provide their address for the delivery arrangements of the TV.
• The brand and model may differ shown in marketing material.
• The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or an alternative prize.
•  You must possess the necessary documents and permissions that may be required to accept and use a prize, including, but not limited to a TV license.

Prize 4: Fridge

• The prize consists of a refrigerator of ScoreBet’s choice.
• No colour selection may be made by the winner and the fridge will be delivered as per what is available at the time.
• ScoreBet will not insure the fridge.
• The brand and model of the fridge may differ shown in marketing material.
• Winners must provide their address for the delivery arrangements of the fridge.
• The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or an alternative prize.

Grand Prize: Weekend Away

• Win a 2024 weekend away for 2 with a maximum value of R10 000.00 (ten thousand rand only).
• The weekend consists of 2 evenings – Friday & Saturday.
• Weekend away prize is only valid for the 2024 year and must be redeemed in 2024.
• The winner must provide their location and available dates in which they would like to redeem the weekend; Once a location and available date is provided to ScoreBet will provide the three holiday destinations to choose from. The winner will choose one of the three options.
•  The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or an alternative prize.
  
• The winner and their partner must possess the necessary documentation and permissions that may be required to accept and use a prize, including, if relevant international travel documentation, a valid passport and all necessary visa and travel documentation. These documents and permissions are the responsibility of the winner which needs to be obtain at your own cost, and need to be valid for the remainder of the period, as prescribed by the necessary authority. ScoreBet accepts no liability if these documents are not in order and therefor negatively impacts the travel arrangements.
• The prize does not include airline tickets.
• Any other travel costs will be at winners own expense. The winner will have to arrange their own transportation to and from the venue.
• Food and beverages for this period will also be at winner’s own expense.
• Any other additional incidental costs will be for at the winners’ own account.

10.   General Terms:

• By entering this competition you agree to set-out Terms & Conditions.
• By participating, entrants agree to allow the use of their name and image for promotional purposes (social media platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter) related to the competition without any further compensation. The winners may also be requested to participate in marketing activities, including having his/her photograph taken or being filmed, but he/she will be entitled to decline to do so. The participant will not be entitled to any form of remuneration as a result of ScoreBet so using his/her participant information.
• It is your responsibility to ensure that any information you provide to ScoreBet is accurate, complete, and up to date. Should any of the data provided by yourself in connection with this Competition, prove to be invalid, inaccurate, false, or misleading, your entry shall be disregarded.
• All personal information received from this entry will be treated with utmost confidentiality and solely used for the purpose of this competition. ScoreBet is committed to safeguarding the privacy of entrants.
• ScoreBet will not be responsible for any costs or expenses that you incur during and for purposes of your entry into the competition and your acceptance and/or use of a prize.
• ScoreBet reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions or cancel the competition at their discretion, with any changes notified through official channels.
• These terms and conditions will be construed, interpreted, and enforced by the laws of contract and dispute resolution in the Republic of South Africa.
• Participants must comply with all relevant South African laws and regulations related to betting.
• All prices advertised are in Rand value and inclusive of VAT. Any advertisement of prices in a foreign currency (other than Rands) is the approximate price only and is based on the Rand exchange rate at the time of the publication.
• By entering our competitions or promotions your email details may be stored for marketing activities. Any correspondence sent to you will have a clear opt-out option should you wish to unsubscribe from marketing correspondence from ScoreBet.
• This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram. By participating in this competition, you agree to fully release and hold Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram harmless from any and all liability.
